Saying you shouldn't implement something just because it's not immediately obvious just leads to boring games. Secret endings have been a thing for ages, with hidden winning conditions. On top of that, games have had secret bosses, levels and passages since ever. You're not done with the game after you've beaten the boss, there are always more things to find. That's what keeps them interesting, the joy to explore, find stuff and know the ins and outs of the game. Roguelikes have always had hidden mechanics, hidden tricks, small and large secrets. Also, it's Early Access, so I doubt it's going to stay at two (intentionally) obscure Alchemy recipes. The engine already does the heavy lifting (or so I suppose), so specifying what components mix to form another component shouldn't be that much work. ago Killing an enemy would drop blood and so long as water is present, boom alchemic precursor. ago The mine fill itself with draugh of midas naturally. Water and poison for example, especially now that we have a water bottle at the start. Easy Alchemic Precursor Seed imgur 9 12 12 comments Best Add a Comment Kripthmaul 2 yr. The creators are certainly making it so you maybe can't use the same methods every game to heal, or get infinite money, but it's certainly possible to get a way to heal yourself in almost every run, and a way to get a lot of money with some time investment.Įh, the game mechanic of fluids mixing is already in the game and easily noticeable. it would be better if, for this run, you didn't worry about it, assume you can't make it to begin with, and potentially be pleasantly surprised if you suddenly see glowing healy liquid appear for you.Īlso, to those of you who don't wish to "Cheat" by knowing the recipe for the midas precursor, there are actually locations on the map, that are literally just "square blocks" of gold surrounded by hard rock, all thats needed is a couple black holes, and your set for that run with money(reaching those locations on the other hand does require a bit of effort of course)Īs for healing: There are several various ways to heal, if you find the "healing shot" spell, get it, make a wand with it, and throw it at an enemy, they will infinitely heal you, and then you can kill them and take the wand back when done, there's vampirism, and all it's extra perks that let you drink other kinds of "blood", though from what I hear on here, the amount of blood to drink for healing is obscene? add a chainsaw to a corpse, flood first level with blood, find some "blood cloud" or something like that spell(though I think I've heard those don't work or something) Theres also medics in Hissi Base that heal you when you kick them, or sprinkle them with berserk to increase heal and make them do it automatically. To be fair though, if you had to first locate the recipe listing in game, only to find out (after however long THAT takes) that the recipe requires things that are just not obtainable(aforementioned urine for example).
